Bubble-drink fever has burst into London straight from Hong Kong and where better to pop your bubble-cherry than at one of the Royal China restaurants, which has just launched a range of Bubble Pearl Cocktails & Mocktails made with fresh fruit. Royal China is one of my favourite after-work places for wholesome and delightful Chinese food (here’s another article I wrote on Royal China), and with six central London venues to choose from, there’s always one nearby. I stopped by the Baker Street branch of Royal China with fellow foodie, Inna, to try the new cocktails, as well as get my fix of delicious Chinese food!
I started the meal with a Mango & Passion Fruit Bubble Pearl drink, which was really tasty, the sweet jelly balls added a fun & fresh burst of flavour to the drink – it was perfect as a mini appetiser!
We then ordered a selection of mouth-watering plates to share including baby squid, seaweed, chicken satay, vegetable spring rolls, prawn rolls, broccoli and egg fried rice. As always, the food was incredible! The presentation was excellent, the food tasted truly authentic and our waiter, Dan, was friendly, efficient and helpful, ensuring we had a really pleasant dining experience. To finish the meal, I couldn’t resist a bowl of mango & cream with pistachio Mövenpick ice-cream – not entirely traditional but so yummy and the perfect end to another fabulous evening at Royal China.
