Life, health, happiness, yoga, style, travel, sunshine and endless possibilities…
Sometimes a drink after work is the best way to mark the end of the business day and the beginning of a leisurely evening. With this in mind, I am so excited that Gordon’s, the nation’s number one gin brand, has recently launched their latest flavour innovation Gordon’s Elderflower.
I attended the launch of the new flavour at The Worship Street Whistling Shop in Shoreditch, an intriguing bar which combines the charm of Victorian squalor with the elegance of grand Gin Palaces.
Gin & elderflower go together like strawberries & cream or wine & steak – perfectly! Combining the refreshing taste of Gordon’s London Dry balanced with the subtle and delicate sweetness of natural elderflower, Gordon’s With A Spot of Elderflower is ideal for summer-time evenings and your trusty gin & tonic!
Furthermore, if you’re looking for more than just a straight gin and tonic, Tom Aske, co-owner of The Worship Street Whistling Shop and Gordon’s Ambassador, has developed a selection of gin-based cocktails, my favourite of which is the Summer Blossom – an easy to make, simple & elegant cocktail consisting of:
(Method: Shake all ingredients and double strain *Earl Grey syrup can easily be made by soaking sugar water with an Earl Grey tea bag overnight).
Finally, if you need another reason to mix up a gin cocktail – it’s World Gin Day on 14 June 2014 (thank you gin marketing people!) – I know how I’ll be celebrating!!!
