Life, health, happiness, yoga, style, travel, sunshine and endless possibilities…
They say your home is your nest and The Longest Stay wants to ensure it remains that way. Our homes are an extension of who we are, our lives and our dreams. They are a space where we can relax freely and are thus worthy of investing in. Dealing with the stresses of modern life can be as simple as sitting in a space which makes you happy and having a beautiful space can support this.
The Longest Stay is the new luxury website which will do for interiors what Net-a-Porter has done for fashion. The site, which is curated and edited by Founder and CEO Sherry Roberts, offers an inspiring collection of rare pieces providing you with your very own personal shopping experience, from styling tips to an entire interior designer room setting. The site also houses an interactive online magazine & store where you can buy from a curated collection of accessories, furniture and luxury gifts.
I like to have a healthy home, so this fun feature on the website caught my eye: Homes Fit for a Workout. I love the idea of having a ‘gym’ you can commute to in seconds! Best of all, it’s open 24-hours, so you can come and go as you please – on your time!
Last week I went to the Colony Club in Mayfair, London with Inna to meet Sherry, as well as some of the designers / brands who feature on the website, including Jim Rokos, Mineheart, Hanna Francis and Jake Phipps. Both Sherry and the designers were delightful and all incredibly passionate about what they do. We talked about the inspiration behind the products, the design process and end result.
Below are some of my favourite pieces from the designers I met, which are all available on The Longest Stay website:
Gauge Vase by Rokos (£189) – The Gauge Vase takes on the behaviour of the flower, the weight of the water holds the vase upright. Like any vase, the Gauge Vase can be knocked over. Unlike any other vase, the Gauge Vase will spring back up. It is designed for leaning and swaying and will return to where it best balances – upright when fully watered, tilting when thirsty. White Bookshelf Wallpaper by Mineheart (£70) – The wallpaper features white books on white shelves for a bright minimalist look. It can be used to create a stunningly contemporary feel reminiscent of designer spaces, fashion shoots and art galleries. Buy here.
Kajo Flower Lampshade by Hanna Francis (£165) – A unique wooden lampshade with a delicate flower pattern which casts a beautiful display of light within a space and is a sculptural highlight for a living or dining room when unlit. Buy here.
Stellar Mirrored Console Table by Jake Phipps (£11,500) – The Stellar Console Table takes inspiration from the natural attributes of amethyst geodes. The large expansive surfaces of the console are in stark contrast to the turbulent seam of 900 individually sized and angled mirror sections running through it. The change in surface creates an optical dispersion that breaks down the light and the surrounding environment delivering it to the eye as one sparkling entity. Buy here.
